Senior Week

The End. Well, for now. Senior week was good. I did indeed graduate.

Black Light Party

I figure I should finish this blog, and be done. I haven't updated in quite a while, perhaps the longest in four years. These are from the Black Light Party back on April 22.

Basketball

Now, in the early morning after Dip Ball, Clay, Jae, and Ryan gathered at my house, and we got in my dad's car, and drove straight to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the court of Wake Forest to see our Hoyas take on the Golden Eagles of Boston College. Looked tight there for a moment, but we pulled it out.

Nick Miede's birthday fell over hell weekend, so we mixed it with a celebration for the Vanderbilt game and grilled. First wild finish.

I don't have photos from the post-UNC game insanity. Just as well, it was ment to be enjoyed. See the funny YouTube stuff here. I did make it to the White House and all. The next morning around noon I started our campout. When the team got back we cheered them, and then got back in line. The next morning tickets for Atlanta went on sale. I got interviewed by lots of media outlets. I'm missing from the photo that made the cover of the Washington Post. This whole article is about Nick. I'm in this clip though.

So were on the road to the Final Four in Atlanta. We left late, and then had to go back to get a voucher. But it wasn't as bad as Seth, Alex, James, and Nick, who's car broke down in Salsbury, NC. We picked up James and the vouchers/go cards. The circus was a bit silly, and were were way tired, having got in at 7am. We lost, sold the tickets to scalpers, took the bus back. I'm still so proud of my team.

Back at Georgetown, the University welcomed the team with a nice ceremony. I need to kill President DeGioia because he used the words "values" and "tradition" in his opening remarks. I was pleased that they let Captain Tyler Crofford speak first of the players.

Dip Ball

Damn, a month without updates. I've been using facebook too much, need to extract self. Most of these updates are part of the long triumph that was the 2007 NCAA mens basketball tournament, but first, the Diplomatic Ball, March 16.

Claire was my date, since she asked me. The night before, partially because of this, I went out with Sandy despite the sudden shift in weather and our lack of gear. Waiting for a bus, I saw this coat. $15. 6XL. We shared it home. The next night we tried to get kids together for an Irish dinner, but since it was just me and Claire we made pasta. At Dip Ball, I lost my date once inside, but that was expected. I also remembered that I can't dance. I once took classes, but all that is long gone. Alas. Sandy didn't want to dance with me, but Natalie made her. I don't get my friends. I stole Claire a rose.

Busy Weekend

A busy weekend in February. Start with a party, specifically a late night bbq, then a basketball game the next morning, friends birthday, big fraternity dinner, then movie night with the girls. Then filming in the morning, then we built a snowman, check that snowfan. Oh, and a film project for Monday.

Birds

There's been some snow around here, and I wasn't sure how to capture it. I tried this one once before without success, as birds rarely pose for me. This one worked.

Valentines Day

Though we got St. Valentines Day off due to snow, I was unfortunately Valentine-less. Claire was going to, but she had some interviewing to do, so Sandy (and Jenn) stepped in. We went downtown to the ice skating rink by the sculpture garden, where I proceeded to film couples for my film project due next week. I fell a few times for the camera too.

Later that day I got brought to Stephanie's stop light party. Only Natalie and one boy wore yellow. I was lucky enough to have green on already. Then to the Tombs. Tequila (and Ketchup) consumed. Catch the video of Natalie dancing!

Gene's Birthday

To celebrate Gene's birthday, we watch Georgetown beat another ranked team, West Virginia, and then went out to Brickskeller for beers. Nick and Seth can flirt with a rock. Here they did with Sarah, our waitress, and got their chicken tenders.

Joint Birthday Party

We were gonna hold a birthday party for my roommate, Gene here at T Street, but as it turned out Clay and Ed both had birthdays the same week, and it was determined that all three (Asif jumped in as well) should be celebrated together at Hwang's place on N Street.

Maquette Game

We beat Marquette to get our "signature win" on the 100th anniversary of the Georgetown basketball program.

Jazz Party

Gene fought to have DPE's Jazz Party at our house for the second semester running. I have to say it was a smashing success. Though we're so far from campus, many turned out. Even Nicole who was still in town came out for it. Diana, who I suppose I've disappointed, tried to steal Woody the Gnome, only to re-break his foot. We'll have to do this all again next week for Gene's 22nd.

Charlottesville

Alana gave me the present of a ticket to the Red Hot Chili Peppers for Christmas to see them in Charlottesville with her. We were too far back for decent photos, but we took them of ourselves. I have some videos, but nothing too spectacular.

Alanya Reunion 2

Rob and Ayse came down to Georgetown and we went out to Cafe Divan and Zaytenya.
